The man opened the hatchback of his car and
the golden retriever, generously silvered,
stood waiting patiently.

The man bent down, reached around the chest
of the dog and lifted the dog's front legs into
the car.

The man then wrapped his arms around the back
end of the dog and gently lifted into the car.
All was done with practiced grace.
